Versatile Rotom

In Pokémon Platinum, Rotom is found to have 5 different forms. These 5 forms take the shape of common household applications. How to obtain these forms is dependant on the Secret Key. When Rotom transforms, he is able to learn a move that resembles the purpose of this form.

If you have the Secret Key, head over to the Eterna City: Galactic Hideout. Of course, this condition only applies once you scare Team Galactic away from Eterna. If you have, then you can use the key between a bookcase and a wall. Doing so reveals a new room. Inside the room, 5 different appliances are neatly lined up on the floor.

If you have Rotom with you, then you may select one of the 5 appliances, so Rotom can take posession of it. This gives Rotom the new form, depending on the chosen appliance.

When you select a form, Rotom also has the ability to learn the attack that matches with the purpose of these household items. Unfortuneately, the attack may only be kept if the condition meets with the appliance. For example, only Heat Rotom will be able to learn Overheat. If you switch to Wash Rotom, then Rotom will forget Overheat, and learn the respective move. In this case, Hydro Pump. In order to revert Rotom back to it's original form, you need only place the appliance to where it was before taking posession of it.
