Battle Frontier

A concept that was introduced in Pokémon Emerald is now being reintroduced to Pokémon Platinum. It is located in the Fight Area in Sinnoh, housing the same facilities, minus the 7 that Emerald had making it only 5. As such, each facility has a frontier brain you must face once you have reached a certain point in them.

Battle Tower

With the same concept as the one in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the rules and approach remains all the same. There are 4 areas of which you may participate in. Single Battle\(permitting the usual 3-on-3\), Double Battles\(permitting 4-on-4\), Wireless Mixed and finally Wi-Fi. Eventually, Palmer Tycoon will approach you once you reach 21 win streaks for the first time. If you beat him, and you make a 49 win streak, then he will once again battle you. He will be loaded with 3 legendary Pokémon this time, though. Once you defeat him, he will award you with the Colored Metal.

Battle Shops

After battling and being rewarded with points, one must think it is already time to claim a prize. The Battle Shops, as the name implies, allows one to use Battle Points in order to buy items. This also includes scratch tickets, which can allow one to earn up to three items if successful.
